The goal was to develop a B2B portal on Adobe Commerce Cloud for Red Sea Global, enabling hotels to seamlessly place and manage guest meal orders. Also integrating with UCAS and SAP for automating routine scheduling, supports recurring orders, and ensures real-time data synchronization across all systems for boosting transparency, and ensures accurate invoicing throughout the entire order lifecycle.
With regularly changing menus at many of its properties, RSG was having trouble updating all systems concurrently in real-time. Manual updates tended to cause delays, inconsistencies, and inaccuracies, slowing down staff and visitors in making decisions through current information.
The automated meal planning program produced large order volumes on a daily basis. RSG experienced order processing bottlenecks, which would lead to delayed meal preparation and delivery.
RSG’s operations were run on numerous interconnected systems such as SAP, UCAS, and CPU. It was an exhaustive task to execute flawless and uniform transactions on these systems since system failure or data incompatibility would delay operations and affect guest satisfaction.
Hotels had different needs, and RSG’s changing hospitality procedures made things more complex. How to make the portal flexible to accommodate these different needs without compromising on efficiency was a critical issue.
Accurate billing and reconciliation of numerous integrated systems were difficult to manage. Differences would cause billing faults, reporting faults, and mistrust of operations.
We supported Red Sea Global in enabling real-time, seamless communication across platforms by developing a Node.js and MongoDB-based middleware. This middleware integrated SAP, UCAS, and CPU, streamlining data transfer and ensuring system-wide synchronization. By offloading integration and synchronization tasks from Adobe Commerce, the middleware also significantly improved overall platform performance.
UCAS real-time menu changes were implemented to enable hotels to fetch accurate, real-time meal items for guest-specific orders in real time. We made Red Sea Global more transparent and less prone to errors by allowing continuous order monitoring through real-time status reporting using CPU. The system was fault-tolerant with retry and fallback mechanisms to avoid transaction loss.
Our solution allows finished orders to be automatically reconciled with SAP for invoicing and reconciliation with accurate financial records and low-level manual accounting effort.
We empowered Red Sea Global to handle operations by automating repeating orders, scheduling, and lifecycle management without sacrificing efficiency and reliability even at high rates.
