Job Description

• Design, develop, customise, and maintain Shopify and Shopify Plus stores using Liquid, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Develop scalable and reusable Shopify themes and components following Online Store 2.0 best practices.
• Build and maintain custom Shopify applications and integrations using Node.js, GraphQL, REST APIs, and Webhooks.
• Develop and implement Shopify Functions for discounts, payment customisation, delivery customisation, shipping logic, and other business requirements.
• Implement Checkout UI Extensions and customise Shopify checkout experiences based on project requirements.
• Develop complex B2B commerce solutions, including customer-specific catalogues, pricing, tiered pricing, company accounts, wholesale workflows, and custom business logic.
• Experience with Shopify Public App.
• Work with Metafields, Metaobjects, Theme App Extensions, Shopify Flow, and Shopify CLI to build flexible and maintainable solutions.
• Integrate Shopify with third-party systems such as ERP, CRM, PIM, OMS, payment, shipping, and other external platforms.
• Participate in Shopify migration and platform modernisation projects, including technical implementation and troubleshooting.
• Analyse existing implementations and recommend improvements related to architecture, performance, scalability, maintainability, and Shopify best practices.

Key Requirements

• 3–4 years of hands-on experience in Shopify / Shopify Plus development.
• Strong knowledge of Shopify theme development, Liquid, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Shopify APIs, GraphQL, and REST APIs.
• Experience with custom/public Shopify app development, third-party integrations, webhooks, Metafields, Metaobjects, and Shopify CLI.
• Good understanding of Shopify Plus features, Shopify Functions, Checkout UI Extensions, and B2B implementations.
• Experience working on Shopify storefront development, performance optimisation, responsive implementation, and production support.
• Ability to work with designers, QA, project managers, and other engineering team members to deliver Shopify solutions.
• Additional presales exposure/knowledge, including understanding client requirements, assessing technical feasibility, providing technical inputs, and supporting effort estimation.
• Good communication skills and the ability to participate in technical/client discussions as needed.
• Experience with Shopify migrations and third-party/ERP integrations would be an added advantage.
